I arrived in Vancouver BC on Sunday and spent all day Monday in my hotel just noodling on new animation.

My goal is still to have 100 stickers but I think I won’t get there if I keep fucking with these. I keep fucking with them because I feel like I owe them to people.

For Inktober 2018 this year, Ki11erpancake is focusing on filling up two pages with 31 ink doodles to craft one full image. Check back on the progress during October!

An old drawing and old tricks

I’m a firm believer in practice makes perfect, but I also believe in monetizing early and often so I’ve challenged myself with creating 100 animated digital stickers for sale on the iOS Messenger App Store by New Years.

In 2017 I traveled through Japan, drove from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas, and bopped around the eastern seaboard of the US with art supplies in tow—making all the mistakes so you don’t have to.

After years of sitting alone and poking away at Adobe products—begging Youtube for advice and pulling what I can use out of exhaustive Lynda tutorials that never seem to answer my exact inquiry, it is a total game changer to take a lab from an expert and be able to ask even the lamest questions with a TA for on the spot support. I realized that my questions weren't even that lame!

You guys, I had such great plans for this dumb little blog the past two weeks. I had all these post drafts qued up I was planning on writing from the road and all I had to do was add some pictures and text—it was going to be great!

The theme for the first week has been all about getting settled with new materials. The other challenge for me is simply completing all the prompts. So far so good but with a trip to Vegas in the middle I'll be curious to see how challenging this will become.
